Operator Environment

Operators have a safe and efficient place to work from in the Spirit Delta cab. The specific design of the cab comes as a result of extensive research into the operators working conditions. The main goal is to be able to provide optimum visibility with no forward corner posts and big glass areas unobstructed in order to keep the field of vision clear. The instrumental panel is ergonomically designed and is gently rounded and really comfortable. This specific area has also been designed with an unobstructed clear view of all essential info, so as to keep the operator working as effectively as she or he could.



Vibration levels and noise levels are kept low due to the insulated mounting on the chassis. To be able to maintain an optimal working position, the operator seat and hydraulic controls are all individually adjustable. Additionally, the steering wheel and related panel is adjustable for utmost comfort. There are 2 easy to operate, multi-functioned ergonomically positioned levers that are offered for the window washers, horn, windscreen wipers and gear changing.



To ensure a comfy cab temperature for the operator, a ventilation/heating unit supplies incoming air which is replaced by an air filter. This is easily replaceable and the unit slides out afterwards to make serviceability an easy option. The machinery has a robust 3-speed fan for recirculation, defrosting, heating and cooling. As an additional option, air conditioning could be fitted.



Instrumentation

The instrument panel in the spirit delta cab has been logically grouped and are all accessible. The basic instruments which include: low engine and gearbox lubrication oil pressure, warning lamps, low brake pressure, high coolant temperature, applied parking brake and high gearbox oil temperature. In addition, gauges display values for operating time, fuel quantity, gearbox oil pressure and engine coolant.



One of the main options the 8 to 10 tonne trucks could be equipped with is the ECS or also called Electronic Control System monitoring. This enables for easy supervision of the unit. All of the monitoring functions are handled by the ECS and incorporated by this system. The full text display and the single warning lamp show any faults that occur and their current values.
