Articulating Booms - Bi-Energy and Electric

Terex offers Bi-Energy and Genie DC machines which are emission-free and provide quiet operation for the most sensitive work applications. Like for example, in industrial settings where the equipment should travel significant distances, the Genie bi-energy system combines the versatility and advantages of a diesel fueled generator using a 48 Volt DC equipment.



Several of the important characteristics offered by this combination consist of out, up and over positioning capabilities for complete flexibility. As well, the zero tail-swing offered by most units, combined with the tight turning radius provides easy maneuvering through narrow aisles and standard doors.



The drive and proportional controls offer the machine with precise boom positioning and smooth drive performance. For emission free and quiet operation suitable for sensitive environments, there is a 48V DC electric drive system. There are jib boom models on the market to function with an extra working range for particular jobs. On non-jib models, there is a self-leveling platform that rotates to either side at an angle of 90 degrees.



Articulating Booms - Diesel Engine

The Terex Genie is ideal for industrial applications and outdoor construction applications. This particular model offers engine-powered articulating Z booms which combine out, over and up positioning capabilities and extreme lifting versatility overall. Diesel engine equipment on nearly all modes have an articulating boom which provides zero tail-swing with a small turning radius. These machines are great in small or narrow locations. Moreover, they offer exceptional torque, terrain and grade maneuverability and utmost power. The diesel engines are generally quiet also. The majority of models have active oscillating axle and full time drive positive drive traction system to provide great flexibility on surfaces which are rough and uneven.



High ground clearance is provided in 4 or 2 wheel drive models, while the rough terrain models are desirable for any company's fleet. The jib boom models are available and provide extra range capabilities. On non-jib models, the self-leveling platform also rotates to ninety degrees on these models as well.
