Most accidents are attributed to staff who are not trained. Employers are responsible for making certain that all workers who are using the forklift are trained in risks and safety. Never let anyone on a forklift who isn't properly trained to operate the forklift. Your business should develop and post in a location that is visible all forklift safety procedures.
Rather than going through training because workers are required to, they should have a positive attitude in doing so. You as the employer must help employees know the importance of correct training. Let them know that they can injure or kill not just themselves, but other people, if they make mistakes. It is up to you to make sure that your workers go through training seriously.
