Utilize a Pneumatic Forklift
Pneumatic forklifts are common in warehouse and shipping operations. Also called pallet trucks or pump trucks, they are used in order to move products and supplies around on wooden pallets utilizing metal forks that are mounted on a wheeled counterweight. The counterweight has a pump that could raise the forks off the ground. A pallet truck is intended to be operated by a single person.
To be able to avoid loosing control while raising heavy loads, pallet trucks must always be operated with care. Equipment should be inspected prior to operating. Clear the wheels area of any obstacle. Make certain that the handle smoothly turns. The pallet should be carefully stacked to be able to guarantee that nothing will fall off during transportation.
On the end of the pallet truck's handle, squeeze the level located on the inside of the metal loop in order to release the air in the pump and lower the forks. The forks can then be pushed into the pallet slots. The forks should be in the middle in order to ensure equal distribution of the pallet's weight across them. Lift the forks from the ground by pumping the handle of the pneumatic lift until the pallet has fully cleared the ground. Do not lift the pallet very high or the forklift can unbalance.
Pull on the handle and drag it behind you if you want to move the pallet. It is truly dangerous to push the pallet ahead of you as the momentum could cause it to go out of control. Take turns slowly and don't attempt to stop abruptly. Slowly come to a stop, squeeze the lever, and the forks will lower to the ground. Finally, remove the forks from the pallet by pulling them out. Return the pallet truck to its permanent place.
