The S-boom telescopic booms by Genie have been equipped with a reach ranging from 9.65 meters and 24.38 meters and an ability to work in heights of 14.20 meters to 40.15 meters. Telescoping booms have a much greater range of reach horizontally as opposed to other types of aerial work platforms. Genie telescopic booms are designed with consideration to being able to access confined areas during construction and industrial jobs. They are also known for their ability to maneuver through a job site quickly and with great traction and drive speed. The platform hydraulically turns 160° and can stay level through the whole range. Front-entry platforms are available from 1.83 meters to 2.44 meters and come with 227 kilogram to 272 kilogram capacity for tools and operators. Continuous, 360° rotating turntables offer quick, easy positioning for operators.
The Z-135/70 model has a telescoping jib, known as the Jib-Extend, which goes from 3.66 meters to 6.1 meters. This particular unit can also reach 110° vertically to give the user the ability to reach jobs that were previously inaccessible by typical jibs. The Z-80/60 unit's secondary reverse-articulating boom gives the user 8.83 meters of up and over reach. This specific feature allows over and up reaching jobs to be completed with zero front arm swing.
The Fast Mast System built by Genie allows for time to be saved when both primary and secondary booms platform needs to either be lifted or lowered without needing to lower the secondary boom. The Fast Mast system allows both booms to be fully elevated at the same time. Both of these features of the Genie Fast Mast system lessens the time required for users to descend and ascend, increasing both efficiency and productivity.
