Doosan Large Capacity Forklifts San Diego

In modern manufacturing and construction industries, the lift truck is a vital tool. The businesses that utilize forklifts will know their significance, their functional needs, and the safety aspects involved in forklift applications. Forklifts are truly a good investment which will increase workplace efficiency and productivity.

Significance

The lift truck offers an efficient and effective way to move products and goods. These modern machinery move a large variety of heavy goods in all sorts of settings. Forklifts are used to transport heavy and bulky things which would otherwise have to be moved by hand in smaller units.

Function

The racks of the lift truck can usually reach as high as 9 to 12 meters allowing for the efficient use of maximum storage capacity in numerous retail or warehouse stores. The forks move up and down by a telescopic hydraulic cylinder on the forklift mast. Various sets of hydraulic cylinders are used to tilt the mast and shift it to the side, for positioning. A telescopic hydraulic cylinder is an attachment that enables an even higher lift through the use of a hydraulic cylinder system that functions a lot similar to a telescope. Every section slides inside the other like sections of a telescope.

Features

Separate levers control the down and up, tilt, and side shift. To lift the forks, the operator pulls back on the down and up lever. To lower the forks, the operator pushes the lever forward. Tilt the load back by pulling back the lever, push it forward to tilt the load forward. The side shift lever controls the forks left and right movement. Unlike cars, forklifts steer from the back tires. This allows the forklift to turn in a very small radius. The transmission reverse and forward controls are located on the steering column.
